Sensory Play: Water

Students are building a river using foil, decorating the river with natural materials such as stones, twigs and miniature animals. They are working as a team finding ways to build a bridge over the river and how to block and release the water flow.

Students are finding ways to release the miniature animals that are stuck in the ice. They are finding ways to melt the ice using a hammer, warm water and salt.

Students are learning about animals that live in the water. They are playing with sand and water and naming the animals that they can find.

Students are learning about water flow by exploring different containers.

Students are experimenting with colour mixing and discovering new colours.

Students are exploring ice and trying to find a way to melt the ice.
